At New Vision, we believe that education is a fundamental right for every child, no matter what they have been through. Our learning center provides a safe and supportive space for 300 refugee children to access quality education and reclaim their futures. Many of the children we serve have experienced unimaginable crises and have been out of school for extended periods. This often means their age doesn’t match their academic level. To address this, we use a unique, needs-based approach. We divide the children into small groups based on their learning levels, not their age. This allows our dedicated teachers to focus on the fundamentals of reading, writing, and mathematics, helping each child build a strong foundation and catch up at their own pace. But our mission doesn’t stop with the children. We know that parents and caregivers are a crucial part of a child’s educational journey. We work closely with families, offering training sessions on topics like positive parenting, child protection, and preventing child abuse. By empowering parents with knowledge and skills, we create a supportive learning environment that extends from our center into the home, helping the entire family overcome challenges and thrive.
